Hiking and Resting at Glacier

A Photo Journal series from our trip to Glacier National Park and the Canadian Rockies.
Lake Josephine.

Our day started by grabbing breakfast at Heidi's Cafe in the lowest level of the hotel,

Before going on a 9:30am Wildflower Tour at the Swiftcurrent Lake Trail.  We came dressed for the heat, but it was cold and rainy.

From Instagram: On Tuesday morning most of the girls went on a wildflower tour. Our guide told us that this flower name would make a good substitute for saying a bad word--it's called a bracted lousewort. Ha. The mountains, waterfalls, colors, animals and traveling companions on this trip have been unbelievably amazing. But real life doesn't stop for trips and there have been a few times that I've started naming flowers under my breath.

Looking at Many Glacier Hotel across Swiftcurrent Lake.

At eleven we reached Lake Josephine and the end of the tour.  (Along the way, J and T headed off on their own hike while Pop and Beza took a hike at their own pace.

T and J hiked an eight-mile round trip route to Grinnell Lake.

We met back at the hotel for lunch,

Before checking into our new rooms at 2pm.

Then, while Nana, M and I chilled at the hotel (drinking hot chocolate,

and writing out some postcards),

Beza, Pop, J and T went on a shorter hike to Red Rock Falls.

We had dinner at six back at Ptarmagin.  (M had a fever.)

Then we dropped into bed earlier than usual because we had one more day of adventuring left and we needed to reboot our energy. :)
