A look back at the week of Sunday, October 25-Saturday, October 31
We spent the day celebrating M's birthday.
And playing outside in the biggest leaf mazes ever. (A look back at past mazes.)
Seeing us outside, our neighbor kindly offered us her leaves (which we've been coveting for years ;), and we made an epically large leaf maze. It was A-MAZe-ING! (Ha.)
From Instagram: Today we're dissecting flowers. Somehow we always manage to get to this lesson when there are no flowers outside. Thanks to the gas station (who knew?) and Trader Joe's we have a lovely assortment of blooms to rip apart. (Also, while he's drawing and labeling all of the parts I have time to arrange the pieces for pretty pictures.)
From Instagram: Today's forecast: dreary. But this sunrise!
Also, ALL of the leaves blew away. No more leaf mazes for now.
We painted Fall/Halloween pictures while listening to a bit of Sherlock Holmes and Francine Poulet Meets the Ghost Raccoon.
Before putting away the paints, we finally painted these popsicle-stick bracelets.
Halloween (and Soccer)
After soccer we came home to a huge gift of duct tape. A perfect gift for one of the major tape-lovers in our life.
The Halloween pile of laundry was downright scary. (And almost as tall as T.)
M's Halloween decorations and the Hot Chocolate Stand.
Kate Weatherall (from The Mysterious Benedict Society), a ninja and a groovy dancer princess.
It was a lovely, warm evening this year, so for the first time we ventured out to the larger part of our neighborhood. They had the BEST time. (Beza LOVED ringing the doorbells!)
As our tradition, when we got home they were allowed to eat as much as they wanted and then we tuck a bit of it away for another time.
It was a great last week of October.
